Ive been trying for the past week or so to get my sleeping habits back in order. I get in the bed at 10pm and lay there until i fall asleep, but for some reason i ALWAYS wake back up at 2:30am and cant get back to sleep. How do I stay asleep throughout the entire night?

  1. that is a real hard question you are asking i can never sleep.

i will get in bed at 12 and wont fall asleep till like 3.

i dont think there is a way to sleep through the night maybe make your

room darker or drink warm milk before bed or nighty night tea or

    something good luck!

  2. Try melatonin.  It's a dietary supplement that makes you sleepy, kind of like sleeping pills except natural.  Make sure you are going to get a full 8 hours sleep before taking them though.  Also, try exercising later in the evening.  Something else that works well for me is to go into my room, make it as dark as possible, and turn on a movie or show and lay down to watch it.  I get tired in no time.  You might also be stressed out.  When I'm stressed out and trying to sleep I try to think about the positives and avoid thinking about the negatives or I'll be up all night.  Just relax and think about how comfortable your bed is, things of that nature.  If none of this works you might want to see a doctor.

  3. Haha ... are you too unstressed?

Maybe you can use the time to actually study or read some books to get ready for school?

Reading uses mental effort and thus will eventually make you much more sleepy!

  4. Here's what works for me (I'm a college student and we have to know many a sleeping tactic haha)

-Create a routine before you go to bed (for example, I brush my teeth and wash my face and pray a while and then my body knows it's time for bed)

-Avoid loud or intense music or reading before you go to bed (same idea, your body needs to know it's time to sleep and stay asleep, not party)

-Engage in some type of prayer or meditation (if your religious or spiritual at all, this is a great way to end your day and calm down your mind and spirit, not for everyone I guess)

-Know your preferences (Your body likes and dislikes certain things. If you like being more comfortable, sleep in underwear. If you cannot stand any light, make sure every light is covered or off.)

What I mentioned after every tip isn't necessarily specific to you, I just mentioned what works for me as examples. It's up to you to figure out what you need personally.

    Good luck.
