PS2 Controller problem?

Question

The x and box buttons just dont work completley.

And it doesn't light up in the middle to show its on.

But the arrows and triangle and o work fine...

It may not be my controller, because I tried to do guitar hero and the same thing happened...I could strum it and it would work but like the green and red buttons wouldn't work...

WTF IS WRONG?!?!?!!?!

get a ps3 or another ps2 control they're not that expensive

Try to reset the controller (there is a pinch hole on the back. Insert a sharp object and press). After resetting the controller, plug it with a provided USB - miniB cable and press PS button. This will re-register the controller.
