PS2 Shuts itself off

Question

My Ps2 shuts off after about 3 or 4 mins, it is not overheating, the fan works fine and i have changed the power cords already. What else could be wrong

what could have happened is that you might have a faulty outlet try plugging it in a different outlet.

when we had a ps1 we had the same problem trying turning it upside down while you play
