PS2 broken with clicking noise?

My PS2 has been broken for about 2 years and now i'm getting around to fixing it. I think it might be the laser but im not sure. Whenever i put a disc in the drive it spins up fine and in rare cases it shows the Playstation2 splash screen. However almost every single time it starts clicking quickly after the splash and it doesnt load anything...it just hangs, no disc read error or anything. Any suggestions? Ive tried cleaning the laser already and readjusting the laser height...no luck

same thing happened to my old PS2.  I ended up buying a new PS2 slim instead of trying to get it repaired.  When i tried readjusting the laser it basically never ended up working so either get it repaired or buy a new one

what you need to do is get it repair cause one day you are going to put a game disc in in the laser will go crazy start to spin around in scratch the c**p out of the disc in it will be toast :)ava06
