PS2 to PS3 Converter??

Question

I have a ps3 sixaxis controller but i want to use this other controller i have which is used on my ps2. It has the turbo button on it which i would like for COD4 for the G3 to fire like an automatic=P. if i bought a ps2 to ps3 controller adapter and put the turbo ps2 controller into it would the turbo feature work on my ps3?
