PS3 40g vs. PS3 80g???

Question

OK so what are the differences between the 40g and 80g. i heard that one of them is backwards compatible and one has better graphics but I dont know all the details and PlayStation's website is confusing.

The New 80GB is The Old 40GB, They are the same except the 80 has 80GB of Memory.

But If you are talking about the 80gb that comes with MGS4, here are the differences:

MGS4 80GB vs 40GB/New 80GB

MGS4 80GB.

- 4 usb ports

- 80% of PS2 games will work

- And it has flash card readers

- Chrome strip

The 40GB/ New 80GB

- 2 USB Ports

-No PS2 games will Work

-No Flash Card readers

- Only $400

40gb:

pros: cheaper then any other models so far

        can still play and work like any other version.

cons:can't play ps2 games at all ( but it can play ps1 games)

        only two usb port.

        hard drive is too small.

        recommend only for people who is new to the playstation, people who has no ps2 games and don't care about any other thing and just want to play ps3 games.

80gb

  pros: biggest hard drive so far

          four usb port

          can play 85% ps2 games

  cons: more expensive

           no really worth it.

recommend for players who want the full package

people who want to play ps3 and ps2 games and want a bigger hard drive.

all ps3 models have the same graphics same online feature and same gameplay no difference.

the 40GB cannot play PS2 games and the 80 GB can, the graphics are the same but there is suppose to be a price drop of the 80 GB to $399 and Sony is suppose to discontinue the 40GB

So wait until the price drop if you want to, but definitely get the 80 GB

there is an 80gb that is the 40gb model, just with 80gbs

there is a 160gb which is also the 40gb model just with 160gbs

so none of those have BC

but there also is the old 80gb (the one that comes with MGS4 bundle)

which is more than the less like the 60gb, but it has LESS backwards compatibility
