PS3 HDMI Issues No Picture?

Question

I have just bought a PS3 and tried to link it to my HD ready philips tv by High Speed HDMi lead into a DVI adapter.

When I siwtch it on it says HD source detected press X to confirm then I do that and no picture on HD or the Composite channel?

Whats going wrong??

Have you chosen the correct AV channel on your TV. Go into AV and select the DVI port to view not the composite.

Edit : have you selected the PS3 menu to HDMI out and not AV multi connector out ...?
