  2. At launch in 2006 there were two PS3 models ! All PS3 models play blu-ray dvd, cd, dvd, and super audio cd !

    The 20GB and 60GB !

The 20GB model came with 4 USB ports and PS2 compatibility !

The 60Gb came with 4 USB ports, WiFi, Flash Card reader, and an HDMI port !

    In mid 2007, Sony shelved the 20 and 60 in favor of a 40GB and 80GB !

The 40GB only has 2 USB ports, WiFi, and no BC !

The 80GB has seen 2 versions one being the Motorstorm bundle and currently the Metal Gear Solid bundle ! Both versions play PS2 games !

Next month the 40GB version is being replaced with another version of an 80GB !

  3. they all play blu ray discs, the 40Gb and the 80GB are identical apart from the size of HDD obviously, the 60GB is the older model with additional features, there was also an older 20GB model too, more info below

  4. 60g is the best deal if you can find them still

but yes they all play bluray
