  1. to have internet you have to get a wireless internet router(about $50 on best buy) and unlike the xbox the internets free. to connect to the computer you probably have to buy a chord.

  2. You Can

    1. Use a wireless router, and wirelessly connect your PS3 to the internet

    2. Get an ethernet cable and connect it to your modem, and your PS3.

You can contact your Internet People to see if it will work, and they will help you.

  3. you can use a wireless router but its not good for online play. only for internet. unplug the ethernet cable from your pc and plug it in the ethernet cable port on the back of the ps3 and hook it up to the nearest phone line port in your house.

  4. There are two ways to connet to the interent from your PS3.

    1. Wireless: In-Order to do this you will need to set up a wireless network with your router and computer (unless you or someone close to you has done so already). When this is complete you must go to "sttings-internet connetions" in-order to connet to the internet this way. 2. Wired-Connection: Simply plug-in your ethernet cord in to the back of your PS3 from your router (not your actual pc).

  5. Ok I'm going to go into detail unlike the other answers...

Wireless- Its ok to use wireless for online play as long as you have a good signal and it's actually illegal to use someone elses wireless connection without their permission. You have to have a wireless router and install it on your PC. After this you go to settings- network settings- internet connection- and then choose wireless and go thru the automatic option.

Wired- Pretty simple. Hook the ethernet cord from the modem directly to your PS3. Unplug your modem for about 60 seconds. (If you have the comcast triple play thing like cable phone and internet... you have to hit the reset button because those modems have a back up battery in them). Then plug it back in and go the same settings and instead of wireless just choose wired.

And there you have it. It should work fine after this.
