  1. resistance 2...

    u get 2 face a 300 foot behemoth!!!

doesnt get any better than that

  2. Gears, c**p load more money dumped into it.

But when it comes down to it, I won't care, I'll still be playing MGO and waiting for the real SOCOM to hit the shelves!

  3. xbox360 iss so much better you can go online and talk to people

  4. Gears of WAr 2 will be the Best game ever created untill number 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...

  5. Gears of war 2 fo sureeee :)

    but thats just my opinion.

  6. Resistance 2, all the way. Its going to be a ton better, with 60 people multiplayer, a huge story mode and crazy weapons. Look at the first one, it was a launch game, and it is still one of the best games for the PS3.  While gears of war was fun, it had a short story mode, and a less than stellar multiplayer, in my opinion. I would stick with Resistance 2 ( just look at the E3 trailer). Good luck.

  7. i have both systems and have had both originals personally i think gears of war 2 will be better graphic wise gameplay and online capabilities with xbox live it allows you to take it a step further then what the ps3 could take you, also resistance 2 apparently has some flaws and gears of war campaign is said to rival all then halos and be better then some

  8. Gears of War 2 by far...it's the best.

  9. Tough call. It completely depends on your preferences.

if you're a member of the "frat boy" and "I like killing things in gory ways" crowd, go with Gears. That's who its being made for. Its the typical 360 crowd. Oh, and also annoying 10 year olds that like to badmouth you on Xbox Live, and who are better players than you are.

    Annoying. Very Annoying.

Resistance 2 is shaping up to be pretty freaking epic. The first one received pretty excellent reviews, as far as I've read. (and I read a lot.)

and the sequel looks as though it is only improving on everything. Its a good way to go if you want something that's going to be a bit more on the scary side, which it is at times, or if you want to play around with some very strange and amusing weapons.

Personally, I don't think Gears is great. Its a decent shooter, yeah. Mechanics are fine, the cover system was a legitimately good feature. I liked it, and it worked very well. Beyond that, not much that I loved, really. The storyline is about Testosterone and Testosterone having a testosterone fight, so not great, and online play felt...meh. never enjoyed it much.

Chainsaw bayonet was...cute. Its a cute gimmick, but not very amusing after the fourth time, and the time it takes to execute eventually makes it laborious, especially in a frantic firefight where speed is important.

Resistance, I enjoyed very much. Its very arcadey, and has a very odd storyline, which is, nevertheless, intruiging. The weapons were the most fun part of the game, and I enjoyed using them. The sniper rifle became my favorite very quickly due to its "bullet-time" like secondary fire. The bullseye weapon is incredibly fun and so is the rocket launcher.

Online play is extremely hectic, and deaths are frequent. Playing as much time on splitscreen before hand is a good idea. It can, at times, be hard to concentrate.

as for system, I'm hands-down PS3. Looking at what's coming two or three years down the road, the PS3 is looking very dominant. Especially with Blu-Ray having won. This now makes the PS3 a rather affordable entertainment platform. The addition of an internet browser without any downloading and and automatic wifi connection without having to buy a $100 peripheral (like on the 360), and the return of Dualshock to the controller in addition to the sixaxis (sadly underused feature) make it just a great system. I fell in love with the on button, actually, because its not a button. Its just a symbol on a flat surface, and when you touch it, even gently, it turns the system on. And yet, dusters and cloth and other things don't turn it on. It's fun.

I own both systems, so I've had time to compare. My 360 is currently collecting dust.

Microsoft dissapointed me at E3 this year, because they have no apparent "post-Gears" plan. Its the last killer app they have. FF13 will not make or break the next few months. and, for the large part, exclusive titles are dead. developers want to get as many units sold as possible. so why release it on only one platform? even if the sales from on system are smaller, its still coin in the bucket.

    but, I ramble.

    Go Team Sony.

    (MAG is going to ROCK.)

(To those claiming that Live is all there is and more...

Need I remidn you of Home? which from all the looks journalists have got seriously rivaled Live in EARLY PRODUCTION? If online is all 360 can say for itself, its on its death bed and you all know it. I swear, the pro-360 arguments get worse and worse everyday.)

  10. gears of war 2.

have you seen resistance 1 online lol they need to unload one full magazine to kill and it looks craap.

gears of war 2 is a PROPER next-gen game.

  11. Xbox has far more games worth buying. resistance 1 and 2 is all you have on ps3. oh did i forget to mention half finished gt 5 ps3 owners bought it as a prologue. how duff was that. another ps3 balls up. (couldnt make the ps3 full game in time)
