Question:

PS3 Wireless Connection?

I want to hook my PS3 up so that it is wireless. I have input all my stuff, like the DNS, IP address, and everything I can find. But it still says wired connection for the settings list. I am finding all the information on my lap top which is a mac book and I use AirPort as my wireless thing. Can anyone figure out what I have to do to be able to get my PS3 wireless? And I would love to be able to do it without a Ethernet Cable, but can I?

  1. Wireless on the PS3 is always turned on, make sure UPnP         ( stands for universal plug and play which basically sets itself up) is turned on in the router and PS3 this should set itself up without any need to input all the DNS bull........   I would say a very easy way and probably my first port of call, set the PS3 up with a wired connection if it works then it will work wireless. After this try holding the power button on the front of PS3 and hold it until it starts beeping sometimes 5-10 seconds, this resets many setting on the PS3 that you may have accidentally set wrong....
