PS3 Won't Show Picture?!?!

Ok So I had a 1080P which I sold. I transfered my Playstation to my 720P and it will not display a picture, my samsung says format not supported. All I can think of is since my samsung is a 720P and the PS3 was setup to play 1080p, it is conflicting. How can I change the format on my PS3 if it is not displaying video or audio?

1. Turn the PS3 off per the power button near the disc slot (for 5 sec.)

2. Turn off the main power switch (at the back of the PS3)

3. Turn on the main power switch

4. Turn on your PS3

You are correct :)

The reason it won't display any picture or sound is because it is still "set" to 1080p and the TV assumes you're trying to use that format.

What you need to do is hold down the reset button on the front for about 5 seconds, you should hear a beeping noise, which means it's returned to default settings

easy fix, just hold the power button on the front of the PS3 down for 3- 5 seconds. you will hear three beeps. this will reconfigure your PS3, and will display properly on the new television.
