  1. as long as you plug the playstation into the TV it will work. the HD of the image might not be as good without the HDMI plugs.

  2. You can play them on any tv. Whether its hd or not.

  3. no u have to hav a special internet cord

  4. You can play it but you wont get the full effect of "HD" you really wanna pick an HDMI lead up, it makes the games look better too

  5. Yes, your just not going to have as good as a picture but your still going to have a lot better picture than hd dvd.

  6. yup. I have a big fat T.V too and I could still play Blu-rays. but when you play the blurays, it wont show its full potential because you don't have a HDTV

  7. you can play blue ray movies there is no special cord required the only cable that you need is the video cable that comes with the system...

  8. Yes, the point of Blu-Ray is the added storage space (DVD9 is about 9Gbs where as Bluray is typically upto 50gb but can be more or less) allows for higher quality pictures, or in TV terms 1080p, which means it refreshes the picture in whole at 1920x1080 resolution at the typical refresh rate for HD TV at about 100hz.

HDMI was designed to allow for the Blu-ray player or in this case the PS3 or whatever thedevice outputting that high a resolution at the highest quality, but is in no means a requirement.

So unless you have a 1080 p Native TV you wont have to wory about that, if you want a more clearer explanation of HD and HD tvs and DVD vs Blu ray email me because I dont really have the moment to do the whole explanation here. Hope that helps.

  9. yes

  10. yea, it just wont be showing in highdef

  11. No. You need an HD television as well. Blu-Ray disc is high definition, so u need a high definition tv. Either you get a blu-ray and HDTV, or just stick with a DVD player!

  12. Yes you just wont get the full effect unless you have a really awesome TV.
