  1. It is possible for burn-ins, but that's only if you leave the screen on pause for days.  Also, the newer TVs shifts the picture a little bit to prevent burn-ins.  That's why you see the TV station's logo on the bottom right of the screen.  If that logo causes burn-ins, people would be suing stations.

I have a 1080p TV, and I play all sort of video games on it, and so far, it still looks fine.  There are no burn-ins.

I don't think it's true that colors fade over time.  But then again, I never had a regular TV that lasted more than 5 years.  My LCD is on it's 3rd or 4th year, and I don't think see any color loss.

  2. It hasn't damaged mine. Tell her that.

  3. What a load of bol*cks.

Sony + Sony = Made for eachother. I'm on a sony bravia with sony ps3, and my TV hasnt exploded.

  4. ive been playing my ps3 on a SD small tv i mean really small and the graphics I personaly don't think they look worse at all i think they look amazing!! although I've never played on an HD i dont think..

  5. Superdork is right (as usual), however I'll add that burn-ins occur only on plasma TVs, not LCD. It's totally safe to use it with any HDTV, PS3 is designed to work with them. Only RPTV (rear projection) can have some issues with PS3.

  6. This is true if you leave it on a Plasma TV and if you play it for long periods of time It does the same thing on a regular TV if you leav it on too long it causes a burn and this is only if you play it like several several hours at a time not turing it off.
