  1. Go to sound setting on PS3 menu to select audio output setting. Choose digital optical out and follow What you want to do next.

  2. Press the 'aux' button on the Samung remote, and select 'din'

  3. One of two possibilities....FIRST, you should connect your PS3 to the amplifier using a set of STEREO audio cables (RCA connectors with red and white cables)....

    It should work correctly now....

I don't think the OPTICAL OUTPUT on your PS3 delivers Stereo 2.1 .....I think it only delivers Dolby 5.1 signal, so the amp cannot process 2.1 audio...

    That's why it's quiet....

The OTHER possibility is that your amplifier has the OPTICAL input <<assigned>> to another input that you are NOT activating....try selecting each input, one at a time and see if you get sound....

I doubt that your PS3 has a Stereo-optical selection, so it can't be set to that KIND of output. Most of the time it's PCM audio you want, NEVER ever try the RAW format as that does not work on Audio amps....

  4. it is because your sound is outputting via HDMI. Switch the output to optical in PS3 setting.
