Question:

PSAT Math help, please...?

Have any of you had any experience with, or have you heard anything about, the following one-on-one tutoring programs for the PSAT (PSAT math, only) ?

-Princeton

-Kaplan

-StudyPoint

-TestMasters

-TutorFox

-Huntington

I took Algebra 1 & 2 in 7th grade and Geometry in 8th, so I am really rusty on the math. I made almost perfect scores on the Critical Reading and Writing sections, but I need to work on the math. If you have any advice, I would be very grateful. I would like to have any information available about the pros and cons of these programs. Thank you so much!

  1. I haven't had any feedback on any of the programs you list but I have heard of a couple of them.

A suggestion, though.  It sounds like you are pretty good with math, in general.  You may want to go to your local large bookstore and grab a PSAT help guide.  You can work at your own pace and it would be much cheaper than a tutor.

The help guides are very good about explaining the types of problems you will encounter and techniques for solving along with practice tests.

    Good luck!
