Under contract at the Parc des Princes until 2013, Paris Saint-Germain are looking to offer Nene a new extension to his current contract at the end of the season. The winger has been phenomenal this season for Les Parisiens
Though he was not recruited by Paris Saint-Germain under the Qatari ownership, Brazilian winger, Nene, has been an ever-present feature in the Ile side so far this campaign.
Under the guidance of Antoine Kombouare, the winger was one of the best PSG performers in the first half of the season. By the end of the first half, PSG sacked Antoine Kombouare and brought in former AC Milan manager, Carlo Ancelotti, as his replacement.
Under the Italian tactician, Nene’s role and status did not changed at all as he remained an integral part of the squad.
Though he has not played for the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, Nene has been a strong player for PSG. The club purchased him for just 5.5 million Euros from AS Monaco but Nene has performed well above the level expected of him.
This season, Nene has scored 13 goals and provided 5 assists in Ligue 1. Over all, the Brazilian has scored 18 goals in all competition for Les Parisiens.
Certainly, his performances have forced the Qatari ownership to keep hold of him and reports suggest that Nene might be at the Ile club for a long time.
According to Les Parisien, the player and the club management have already agreed to begin discussion about an extension to his contract when the campaign ends.
Currently under contract at Parc des Princes until 2013, the 30-year-old deserves a lot of recognition from the club. the former AS Monaco man has been the main supplier of goals for Ancelotti’s side and the Italian tactician is also keen on having him around.
Furthermore, Nene has become a popular figure among the fans and the Qataris do not want to alienate supporters by deciding to let go of a player who has given a lot of effort to PSG’s cause this season.
Happy to be part of a big project, Nene will also be keen to extend his stay at Ile.
