http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 are keen on having investors as rich as those at Paris Saint-Germain but Jean-Michel Aulas is finding it difficult to convince a Middle-Eastern consortium to invest in the club
The arrival of investors from Middle-East, who have now taken control of Paris Saint-Germain, has now forced the leaders of Olympique Lyonnais to accelerate their efforts in order to find a wealthy investor of their own.
Travelling to the Mid East on a frequent basis, president Jean-Michel Aulas is hoping to reach his goal especially after the partnership agreements he signed with UAE after signing young defender Hamdan Al-Kamali on loan.
However, according to UAE newspaper The National, the task is not as easy as it initially seemed. While Lyon are trying to get a contract of 150 million Euros over the next 10 years for naming their new stadium, it seems that many investors from the Middle
East are not too excited about the prospect of taking over another club in the French Ligue 1.
To justify this argument, the National claims that there is some sort of tactical agreement between the wealthy owners from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 (who own PSG) and those from Abu Dhabi. The agreement prevents investment in a league where one of them is already present which
means that even if they want to invest in Lyon, the wealthy owners will never be able to fully own the club.
However, a theory has challenged these rumours. The theory concerns the commitment of Qatari who are reportedly keen on replacing the Glazer family at Manchester United. Currently, the reigning English Premier League giants are under a lot of debt and many
fans want the Americans to leave the club.
However, the Glazer family is reluctant to leave the club’s ownership as they don’t want to let go of such a huge business proposition.
On the other hand, the case is certainly complicated for Lyon who are aware of their need to have a wealthy investor who can help the club compete with Paris Saint-Germain who have already changed the footballing order in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 and could do the same in
Europe within the next few years or so.
