PSG striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guillaume-Hoarau-c15332 wants to score more goals – Ligue 1 News
Paris Saint Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau has said that he needs to be greedier when he is infront of goal. The 1.93 m tall Frenchman featured in the Le Bleus side for only the third time against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 in Paris this evening.
Along with Turkish striker partner Mevlut Erding, the duo has scored 14 Ligue 1 goals this season while the Brazilian Nene is the club’s topscorer this season with 13 goals. All three Paris Saint Germain stars couldn’t score a goal last week when they drew
0-0 to Lorient.
Speaking about the match, Hoarau said that he was pretty disappointed at the result as it has put European qualification for next season in jeopardy.
The former Le Havre man knows that all strikers in the world are judged on the basis of the goals they score and admits that he has to become greedier. Hoarau’s profile is definitely different from other strikers and he still has to improve a lot especially
when it comes to his goal scoring ratio. The PSG hitman realizes the fact that he needs to become decisive infront of goal and has to be obsessed with an extra desire to score a lot of goals.
In many games, Hoarau has shown that he sometimes lack the desire and fighting spirit. “Sometimes I lack that bit of
grinta [fighting spirit and desire], but for me I’m not cheating anybody with my approach to the game. Sometimes I don’t understand why the ball is going into the back of the net and then, from one day to the next, it doesn’t go in anymore.”
The 26-year old striker will be played only his fourth match for Les Bleus as France beat Brazil 1-0 at the same stadium where they beat the South American giants to lift the World Cup in 1998.  At that time Hoarau was just 14 years old but still has vivid
memories of the great triumph. Hoarau said that he was wearing a Brazilian team shirt during the game because he was a deep admirer of the South American side. “It’s true I had a soft spot for Brazil and was even wearing their shirt. I soon took it off when
France scored. They are great memories. For one night, I had a chance to experience a tenth of what the French players did back then.”
Paris Saint Germain are currently in fifth place in the Ligue 1 standings with 46 points; 4 behind fourth place Lyon. They will now play Caen at the weekend and should be looking to win the game after being winless in the last six games.
