PSP Component Cable Questions?

I just bought the component cables for the PSP and I'm trying to sync it to my new Vizio HDTV and have run into a few problems. When I plug the cables into the S-Video slot, I get a picture and sounds, but a message saying I can't play games unless I use "a component cable". However, when I use the YPbPr components, everything is red. I dont know if I need to adjust the TV or if the Pb cable is broken. Even with the red screen however, it still wont let me play the games. If anyone can help me or atleast point me in the right direction, that would be great. thanks.

You might need to make sure you are using Progressive Scan on your TV.
