PSP Red screen?

when i turn my psp on, i red screen with like red lines kindof that are moving comes on andf wont go away wat do i do?

remove the memory card and umd disc inside the psp, and turn it on again. after it comes on successfully, go to the "system" menu, then insert your memory card, and then format the memory card (backup data first)
