PSP Slim and Lite Component cable problem

I bought a GameWARE component cable yesterday to display my PSP on my Samsung LE32R88 tv, i did everything the instructions said, i plugged the 5 connections in the component slots in the back of my tv(all in the correct places i checked this many times) then i switched the source on the tv's to "component" as it says i then connected the component cable to the PSP and held the display button for 5 seconds as it says but get nothing on the tv's display only the message "No Signal" which is normal if it isn't picking anything up, i know the connections to the tv aren't faulty because i run a Xbox 360 on component and it works fine also when i plug the cable into the PSP it switches its sound off and displays a music note on screen and what mode like pops/heavy/jazz/unique etc so i guess theres something happening there but it just won't display on the screen or give a hint to whats wrong. My tv also supports NTSC and Progressive Scan(enabled on my PSP) so that can't be a problem.

Thanks to anyone who can help me with this, i really wanted to play Monster Hunter 2 on the big screen. *crys*

  2. Well, it seems you know what you are doing, and the instructions are always good to follow. I would recommend trying it on another television set to see if it works properly. If it does work on another set, it may be your TV. If it doesn't work, you may have gotten a defective cable set, in which case you can exchange it where you bought it at. Good luck, hope everything works out.
