PSP TV Out Question...

I own a PSP Slim (Slim & Lite is too long of a name), which is a PSP-2000 series. I want to display it on a TV without modding it in any way.

I looked on shopping sites and saw that the cables are around $20. I don't want to waste that money, because I already have a TV out cable for my iPod.

It's not made by Apple, but works just fine. (It's black with three plugs at the end, not five like HDtv cables.) It plugs into the headphone jack of the iPod, which is what I did with the PSP. But when I turn on TV out on the main menu, it says "Connect AV cable".

Long essay short, will an iPod TV out cable work on a PSP without any mods at all?

If there is a separate AV out slot on your PSP, separate form the headphone slot, then I don't think so.  The headphone slot on your PSP is probably just audio out, then.  

Try a digital camera AV out cable, though, if you have one laying around.
