I have visited many websites with instructions of different ways to access PSP internet that would help avoid the IP problem but all have failed.

I admit to tapping into my neighbour's wireless connection but the signal was 60% which was the best I could get.

Do you have any suggestions?

I also entered my computers IP into the manual option but it would not let me continue to save it so as a result I could not use it to connect to the internet :(

  1. If you are tapping into a neighbors connection he might have secured it, in that case you're out of luck (though this would most likely cause it to ask you for a key). Or he may have moved the Access Point out of range (in the basement or just to the other side of the house). I know my PSP can't connect to my Wireless from outside the yard.

I know you probably don't want to hear this but you tapping into some else's network is not the best option, not only is it unreliable but he will get pissed if he finds his internet slowing because your "sharing" it with him. I would suggest you invest in your own wireless network, its well worth it.

Also FYI your PC has nothing to do with this, even if you use your own. Its not looking for your PCs IP, it's looking for the Wireless Access Point. What model is the Access Point? I could help you better knowing that,
