well i was playing my psp last night like around 12 00 and i shut if off then i woke up and like about 1 00 i turned it on and the screen turned messed up like when i turn it on it starts black an white and when it goes to the menu when i highlight an option it goes really slow i have tried turning it off took out the battery and charged the battery but nothing whats the problem the last game i played was socom 2

you should get a new psp : ) you could get the one you have now fixed by sending it in to sony and then you can get a new psp when the psp 3000 comes out : ) it is going to have a lcd screed and anti reflection and a bunch of other cool stuff : )
