PSP updating problem?

I have a psp and im so frustraded im at wits end. Its firnware 1.5 and can get a connection absolutely perfectly but when it comes to updateing it gives me this stupid error code.

(8041040d connection to the server failed. a dns error has occured) I looked on the wb and saw hundreds of threads on that stupid error code. I dont want to give out my ip or anything like that and will not give any info out about it. What do I do? I am not a pc nerd so I dont no anything about computers and stuff. So resetting a modem/router means nothing to me. Please help me y.a your my last hope!

i would try updating through your pc go to this link it will have the file available to download and the info on how to install it on your psp.
