Which one is better? I cant make up my mind. For the PSP will I even use the other multimedia features, I heard they are rarely used. What is special about the Nintendo Ds and what is Special about the PSP besides PSP's mp3 player and internet which are not used most of the time. What about Pokemon games on the DS are they fun or are they same as the old Gameboy games? Is the PSP like the PS2. The PS2 is boring and not many fun games like the nintendo consoles. I cant make up my mind.

  1. dS

  2. The PSP is by far better than the DS because it can play music videos hold photos. and it can connect to the internet wirelessly. Any shooting game is fun racing games are fun and Madden is always a good game. You can also play people wirelessly on most games.

  3. It depends on what kind of games you like. The PSP has lots of racing, sports, and shooting games. The DS has lots of RPG's, platformers, and puzzle games. Also, the DS is much cheaper.

    I personally prefer the DS.

    Hope I helped,

    Merlin34.

  4. I have both and there both awesome. the DS has alot of games that are freqently coming out. it also has wifi that with most games lets you play with another player across the world or right in front of you, you soud get the lite. The psp has pretty mutch the same thing but occasionly a game will come out, it also

uses a memory card, you can watch videos on it mp3 capabillities plus internet and pictures and if you get the slim alot more stuff I think your best bet is a psp.

  5. If you think that the PS2 is "boring" then I think I'd suggest the DS. I own a PSP (er...owned...my friend broke it) and there was a lot I liked about it. You don't seem like you're into playing UMD movies or MP3s, so that's why I suggested the DS. I didn't do much of those either. I just like the PS2 and its games (a lot of related games/ports like God of War came out for the PSP) and the homebrew community is pretty solid.

If you didn't know already, that just means that there are a lot of people creating all sorts of programs themselves for use with the PSP. For example, when I had mine, I could play Gameboy/GBA/arcade ROMS.

If you don't like the PS2 game library, then it seems like you would prefer Nintendo type games. My friend has a DS and is really into games like Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Mario Kart etc. There are some really good ports from those on the DS.

So I guess you'd probably like a DS more, but I prefer the PSP.

  6. psp is obvuilsy the best. you can download wallpapers add friends, themes, msuic photos, and game slike Grand theft Auto. if u have a ps3 u can also download alot of content such as demos videos trailers movies shows, and copy them to ur ps3/psp. i like the ds though cause of its indivuality. like touchj screen can be really fun in games like carinval games. and for hardcore gamers, there is DEMENTUIM! which is a shooter/ horror game. also zelda is a huge hit, and mario kart. the ds keeps getting better and better each year. also the new guitar hero is on it. i think that carinvail games is also very unique on it. its also alot more affordable new. but som stores have used psps for the same price as a new ds. the ds also hasalot of downloads for fifa, madden and other stuf. it also has online. sure u cant get friends to email on ds, but u can add friends to play online. and sure u dont have too too too much to do on ds , but u dont have to worry about memory either, the ds also has a very cool/ 3d game, mario, which is from the classic n64 series.

there is also a rumor going around that ocarina of time and a new smashbros will be comming to ds at the end or mid of 2009. hope this helped, i could really use 10 points seeing i asked 2 questions. ok, GOOD LUCK, and the choice is all up 2 u

  7. I use the wireless internet on the PSP when I'm on the road and have a few UMD discs, and that's about it for multimedia features.  The PSP tends to have better graphics and especially sound (thanks to using discs), which makes sense since it's got more advanced/ expensive hardware.  It tends to do better with sports and racing games IMO.  The bad news is that you need to get a cover for your screen and that it's a lot more fragile then the DS.

The DS is cheaper, much sturdier, has the clamshell design which I appreciate, has more games overall (though half of them are digital junk), and will certainly be supported for the next two or three years, since there's about 70 million of them out there.  If you crave Nintendo games obviously they're going to be on this portable.  The DS does well with 2-D games and remakes of older games (especially since it plays GBA games too).  Sorry, but the only Pokemon game I ever played was Pokemon Green, and that was a long time ago.

Both have great support with RPGs and strategy games, which is why I have both.  I'd say if you still can't decide to go to IGN or Gamespot, scan the lists of popular or highly rated games, and write down seven PSP and seven DS games that you really want.  Compare the two lists and decide which list you want more.  Then buy that system.

  8. There are so many features that make the PSP way more worth your money. The DS is ok, but not that great.

  9. PSP better games

  10. PSP: The PSP has great inbuilt multimedia features and has a huge screen.

The best games for it are:

    God of War

    Ratchet and Clank

    Secret Agent Clank

    Dracula X Chronicles

DS: The DS is very interactive and has incredible games.

The best games for it are:

    Mario Kart DS

    New Super Mario Bros

    Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

    World Ends With You

    Contra 4

    =D

You can download DS games to a PSP, but there will be no Microphone, or touchscreen support, and you have to hold it awkwardly.

  11. Get the psp less games but the games are good P.s I have a psp getting one game tomorrow

  12. PSP it better than the DS. If you get a PSP it has Music, Videos, Games, Photos, and Internet access. There are many more features if you keep updating it. I recommend PSP better!

  13. As you may know the PSP is slowly dying. It might not seem like it because of all the comercials that you see about the new psp slim and its different colors. But it is. Game Informer does not rate more that 15 psp games. thats it. And there are not alot of psp games being made. The multimedia features on the psp are not very good. The internet on it is very basic and you can only go to a couple websites, which means no myspace, facebook, youtube, google video, etc. and the music play has very bad sound quality.

On the other hand, for awhile i thought the DS was dead, but when they came with the DS lite. It came right back. They started making great games for it like Guitar Hero, Call of Duty 4, Assassins Creed, Mario Party DS, Mario vs Sonic Olympics. and more. You can also buy a game cartridge for the DS to get on the internet but you are just as limited with a psp. But the DS can also play Game boy games which is like a 2 for 1 deal

I used to have a psp but i sold it to get a DS lite and have not regretted it since. If you were to ask me. i would say

    Nintendo DS Lite.

  14. I own both so I can help.

I play my nintendo DS almost every day.

I haven't touched my PSP since I got my DS.

    PSP:

    Pros:

    Internet

    MP3s

    Pictures

Camera (You can hook up your camera to the PSP)

    Movies (Only UMDs)

    Gaming (Action/Battle/Fighting)

    Cons:

-Internet is pretty much useless, you can't go on a lot of sites.

-MP3s I NEVER use, I have an iPod and you have to buy a cord to put them on there.

    -Pictures, kind of pointless.

-Camera you have to buy one to hook up so it really serves no purpose.

-Movies, very limited titles out right now.

-Gaming, I really don't like all of the games they have out now...

    -Its bulky

-You have to buy a memory stick.

    NINTENDO DS:

    Pros:

    -Touch Screen

    -Bright colorful, party/family games.

    -Light/Compact.

-Mario and Pokemon only are on Nintendo systems.

-Very interactive, I really like how YOU are in the game. Such as you are cooking the food in Cooking Mama.

-No need for a memory stick.

-WIFI! You can play games and chat with people ALL over the world.

-You can buy an internet browser (looks like a game cartridge)

-You can play GBA games on it

    Cons:

-I really honestly can't think of one.

    PRICE BREAKDOWN:

    PSP:

    -New 170.00 Used 130-150.00

-GOOD Games are about 25-40 dollars new

-Memory Stick 15-20 for a basic.

    -Movies range from 10-15 dollars

    -Cord is about 10-20 dollars

    NINTENDO DS:

-New 130.00 (Lite) Used (Lite) 115.00 Used (Original) 80.00

-Good/New games range from 25-35 dollars

-Gameboy Advanced games (Used) range from 10-20 dollars

    GAMES I RECOMMEND:

    Psp:

    Daxter

    Ratchet and Clank

    Clank

    The Sims Series

    Nintendo DS:

    Cooking Mama (1+2)

    Super Mario Brothers 64

    Yoshi's Island

    Animal Crossings

Harvest Moon (Harvest Moon, Harvest Moon Cute, Harvest Moon I.O.H)

Sims Series (Sims 2, Sims 2 Pets, Sims Apartment Pets, Castaways)

    Mario Party

    Pokemon (Diamond and Pearl)

Mario and Sonic at the Olympics

    IN MY OPINION:

You seem more the Nintendo DS kind. The PSP is exactly like a handheld PS2. I think it feels bulky and clumsy and I absoultely LOVE my Nintendo DS. I think I am going to Gamestop to sell back my PSP tomorrow. I think the DS keeps me captivated and I cannot stop playing once I start.

Good Luck with your Hunt! :]
