PSP wiresless internet

Question

my dad put our wireless as something he sais the PSP's cant read but i dont believe him, when i scan for the wireless i get our acess point but the spot where the access points name is is blank. it has no security to it but when i try to test connection it says

"a connection error has occured.

a connection to the access point could not be established.

check the security settings for the network and try again."

why is it saying that especially when the network has no "security" settings. how do i fix this without changing the wireless router??

I guess you can't access cuz the connection doesn't have a name. Don't try putting a made-up name cuz it's not gonna work either. I guess that you have to fix it from the computer.

If you guys have a laptop, find the i.p. address and type it in on the PSP. then give it a while and maybe it will work. also make a few more internet connections on your PSP to use as backups
