PSP wont charge or turn on HELP!!!?

Question

my friend gave me his PSP to get music on it but when i turn it on to connect it to the USB it shows the low battery sign then the next day i get the charger from him and try to charge it but the amber light wont come on nor will it show the green light if i try to turn it on

PS. he is using a pandora battery

lol i thought my battery only did that. if he screwd up his battery somehow it might take a while to charge back up. for instance if i take the battery out of psp for too long (or open it up again) when i put it back in it dosent work at all! (for a random amount of time)

first make sure his psp still works. take out the battery and try to turn it on with just the ac charger. if it works ok just put the battery in it from there and leave it (or u can turn it off). mine does this sometimes but eventually ALWAYS come back on.  just leave it on the charger and eventually the amber light should come back on (unless the battery is really screwed), meaning you battery has come back to life.
