In the latest round of UEFA Europa League, PSV Eindhoven recorded a 3-3 draw against Hapoel Tel-Aviv at Philips Stadion on Thursday, November 3.
In the aftermath of the draw, Fred Rutten, the Eindhoven giants boss, admitted that his side’s defence struggled against the visitors' attack.
The Dutch trainer revealed that his side wanted to record a dominant victory, but admitted that poor defending cost them two crucial points.
“We wanted to record a convincing victory. We responded well and played impressively. However, our back-line struggled to defend and conceded goals. It was still nice to see our front-line responding very well”, Rutten was quoted as saying to the media.
The PSV head coach went on to admit that the match was certainly very entertaining.
“It was certainly not boring. Everything happened on the field. We need to deal quickly our defensive issues, three goals against at home are too much, with all respect for our opponent”, Rutten concluded.
The Israeli outfit started the match brightly, away from home, and went ahead in the 10th minute through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Georginio-Wijnaldum-c14629.
