The Eindhoven giants showed their class right from the kick-off. Goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Georginio-Wijnaldum-c14629 made it 4-0 in favour
of the Boeren before http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicklas-Pedersen-c27729 pulled one back for the Green-White-Army.
However, two further strikes from Tim Matavz and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ola-Toivonen-c28363 made it 6-1. Although the Green-White-Army tried hard to crawl their way back into the match, the Eindhoven giants back-line stood tall and provided rock solid defence.
When the referee blew the final whistle to end the proceedings at Philips Stadion, the score-line read 6-1 in favour of the home side.
Rutten praised his side’s impressive performance in front of their home crowd and expressed his happiness.
“I’m happy with the emphatic victory. We put pressure on the Groningen defence from the first whistle and scored some fine goals”, Rutten was quoted as saying to the Dutch media.
The Boeren head coach then went on to reveal that his troops were solid both in attack and defence.
“We also put in a solid defensive display. When [Georginio] Wijnaldum had scored the fourth goal of the night two minutes after the break, a lapse of concentration led to a Groningen goal, but we soon made amends. We conceded one goal, though, and as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554

After securing all three points, the Boeren comfortably sit at the second spot in the league table, three points behind the league leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar.
In their upcoming encounter, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 will battle against Legia Warsaw in a UEFA Europa League group stage encounter at Polish Army Stadion on November 30. by end of the ongoing campaign.
