part of the Boeren’s back line, as he started all 25 league matches this season.
The 22-year-old defender was delighted with the contract extension. He said, “For me it was important that the feeling was good and that the contract on offer showed appreciation for me. I have played every game this season and that says something
about my development. First, however, I want to become champion with PSV, which is the most important goal now”.
PSV currently sit atop the league table, acquiring 54 points from their 25 matches. The Boeren have conceded 22 goals this season so far that shows their strong defence and Pieters has remained a vital part in their back line’s success this season.

The Dutch prodigy has featured in regularly in the Boeren’s playing eleven since his inclusion in the squad in 2008/09 season. The 22-year-old left back played a vital role in the PSV’s back line in their UEFA Europa League campaign this season, as
he took part in all ten matches in his side’s run in the Europa League Round of 16.
