PSV Eindhoven boss Fred Rutten bemoans his side’s sloppy performance – Dutch Eredivisie news
PSV Eindhoven head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fred-c14136 Rutten, was far from pleased following his side’s 2-0 loss at the hands of Feyenoord Rotterdam at De Kuip Stadion on Sunday, December 4.
The Eindhoven giants boss expressed disappointment with his troops' sloppy defending and incompetence in front of the goal.
“So it is disappointing to leave De Kuip empty-handed. Our attacking style usually pays off dividends for us, but today we lacked the finishing touch. We are left to rue some annoying defensive mistakes”, Rutten was quoted as saying to the media.
The 49-year old tactician then went on to admit that his side conceded both the goals following a personal error from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ola-Toivonen-c28363 and Jetro Willems respectively. He also added that his side had opportunities to score, but the home side’s defence stood tall
and emerged victorious.
“Feyenoord had chances to make it three and we created opportunities to at least pull one back. All in all, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 were deserved 2-0 winners”, Rutten concluded.
The Rotterdam giants looked threatening right from the start; however, it still took them 41 minutes to break the deadlock through Sekoue Cisse.
Cisse and John Guidetti played an impressive one-two before the former struck the back of the net.
Five minutes after the break, the home side doubled their lead following a phenomenal display of skill from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andreas-Isaksson-c5736, and he neatly slotted the
ball into the left side of the goal.
Moments later, the Stadiumclub came close to scoring their third of the evening, but Isaksson made an impressive save to restrict Schaken from finding the back of the net.
PSV tried to crawl their way back into the match, but they failed to trouble the score-line.
