The PSV technical director Marcel Brands was pleased with the young striker’s decision to prolong his stay at Philips Stadion, and stressed that he will prove to be a valuable asset for the club in the coming years.
Reports from Philips Stadion confirm that Memphis Depay has agreed to prolong his stay at PSV Eindhoven until the summer of 2017.
The youngster’s previous contract ran until the end of the 2013/14 campaign. However, the club management wanted to prolong his stay at Philips Stadion, and offered the young forward a three-year contract extension.

Depay, who is the product of the PSV youth academy, started his professional career in the recently concluded 2011/12 season. The talented forward managed to represent the Eindhoven giants in eight Eredivisie matches and found
the back of the net thrice along the way.
His fine displays convinced the club management to offer the youngster a new and improved deal, and the forward put pen to paper at Philips Stadion on Friday, June 30.
After signing the contract extension, the promising young talent expressed his joy and stressed that he will try his level best to be a regular at Philips Stadion at the earliest.
“I am extremely happy, especially after a season where I have seen many extraordinary things. I am glad to have extended my contract. My primary goal is to improve my skills further in the coming years. But my desire is to shine
