PSV Eindhoven interested in Werder Bremen’s Marko Arnautovic - Bundesliga news

It has been reported that the Dutch Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven wants to acquire the services of Werder Bremen striker Marko Arnautovic. The striker has not been able to win a place in the starting XI so far and therefore could be on his way out to get
first team football under his belt.

PSV officials seem confident of luring the player to Holland during summer, according to reports.

Arnautovic was pleased with the prospect of playing in Netherlands saying that it will allow him to quench thirst for first team action. The player mentioned that he seemingly doesn’t have any problems at the Weserstadion apart from the lack of first team
opportunities.

The youngster urged his officials to consider any bids coming from Holland, keeping in mind the long-term future ahead of him. The 22-year-old enthused that Coach Thomas Schaaf has already informed him about this season plans and it will be better if PSV
could come up with a formal offer.

The striker started the club’s first game on the bench against FC Kaiserslautern and was not even required at any stage of the game. The River Islanders won that game by a 2-0 margin. The Austrian international once again found a place on the bench in the
next league game against Bayer Leverkusen and came on to replace Markus Rosenberg in the 79th minute. Bremen ended up losing the match 1-0.

Bremen manager, Schaaf, reckons that Arnautovic requires more time to settle down in his role and therefore has been confined to the bench. He added that the Austrian has potential of becoming the top player but has to be patient in order to achieve something
in his career. Schaaf wished to retain the striker but left the final decision in the hands of the youngster.

The former FC Twente striker joined Bremen in 2010 and has made 25 league appearances so far, netting three goals in return. He earned his Austria debut in 2008 and has four goals from 11 international caps until now.

Arnautovic’s future with the club depends on how quickly PSV come up with an offer. The summer transfer window is about to be closed in 13 days time.
