PSV Eindhoven looking to cash-in on Orlando Engelaar and Otman Bakkal – Dutch Eredivisie news
PSV Eindhoven have given permission to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Georginio-Wijnaldum-c14629.
Since both players are deemed big drains on the Boeren’s salary budget, their stay at Philips Stadion looks highly unlikely.
Engelaar has an ongoing contract with PSV that runs until the summer of 2013, while Bakkal’s current contract expires by the end of the 2011/12 campaign. The Boeren management wants to raise the transfer budget by offloading the two players rather lose the
duo on free transfers in the coming years.
Engelaar arrived at Philips Stadion in the 2009/10 season after playing a campaign with Bundesliga outfit, Schalke 04. The veteran midfielder has played 58 matches for the Boeren and managed to find the back of the net on four occasions.
Since the 2010/11 season concluded, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 management has been looking to offload the central midfielder due to his high wages. Furthermore, the 31-year-old also desires to leave the Eindhoven giants to pursue his career elsewhere in search of silverware.
Edward Burleson, Engelaar’s agent, has revealed that his client is seeking a challenge abroad and a move to Turkish Super Lig remains a possibility.
The Former Dutch International has remained heavily linked with Turkish top tier outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bursaspor-c38700. However, reports from Philips Stadion confirm that the Turkish outfit have not made any contact with the PSV management to acquire the 31-year-old’s signature.
Reports confirm that an offer in the region of 6 million Euros would be enough to lure the midfielder away from the Eindhoven giants.
On the other hand, Bakkal has been looking to cement his place in the starting eleven of the Boeren and the arrival of Mertens and Wijnaldum has now further dented his first team chances.
The Boeren management would certainly like to offload the 26-year-old in the ongoing summer transfer market should an offer comes in. Reports suggest that an offer in the region of 4 million Euros would be enough for the Boeren to let go off the winger.
