PSV Eindhoven release Cassio Ramos, becomes a free agent – Eredivisie news
Reports from Eindhoven confirm that Cassio Ramos, the Brazilian goalkeeper, has left PSV Eindhoven after finding it increasingly difficult to break into the first team. The Boeren agreed to terminate the 24-year-old’s ongoing contract after he expressed
his desire to leave.
The Brazilian shot-stopper arrived at Philips Stadion in the summer of 2007 after impressing for Brazil U-20 side. Despite showing promise, the 24-year-old failed to break into the Eindhoven giants’ first team. In his four-year stay in Eindhoven, the gloves-man
could only manage a measly three matches.
During the second-half of the 2008/09 season, the Brazilian goalkeeper was loaned out to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sparta-Rotterdam-c40567 on a six-month deal. The 24-year-old made 14 appearances for the Rotterdam-based club, gaining valuable first-team experience.
However, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andreas-Isaksson-c5736 being a regular between the posts, the youngster found it very difficult to make his mark.
Ramos, who will be returning to Brazil, admitted that he learned a lot during his four seasons at Philips Stadion and revealed that he will always remember his time in Eindhoven.
“I hope to learn as much in Brazil as I have learned here at PSV. Both personally and professionally, I have really improved. The people will always have my respect and I will always remember http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281. Thank you so much to everyone”, Ramos said while talking
to the journalists.
The South American then went on to reveal that he wants to demonstrate his skills in his homeland and wants to prove that he is a good goalkeeper.
“I want to show Brazil that I am a good goalkeeper. I want to earn a basic place in the team, and playing games is most important to me. If I am successful, then the rest will come”, Ramos concluded.
Reports in Dutch media suggest that the 24-year-old will fly back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 on Wednesday, September 28. However, his next destination (club) is still unknown.
