http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-c23507 Brands, the Boeren technical director, has confirmed that his side would be offering a new contract to the 33-year-old in the coming days.
“We are certainly going to sit down with Wilfred in the coming days. He always makes an impression. He is fit and plays a lot. We have to keep balance between youth and experienced players and Wilfred is one of the experienced guys in our squad”, Brands said while talking to the media.
The Dutch stopper arrived at Philips Stadion in the summer of 2010 after making 83 appearances for Aston Villa during his five-season stay at Villa Park. Since then, he has provided rock solid defence for the Eindhoven giants, and has thus far played 39 matches.

“It's too early. We're just halfway through the season, and you don't know what else will happen. Last season, when his contract was expiring at Bayern Munich, everyone thought that he would be making his comeback, but he ended up playing at AC Milan”, Brands concluded.
The versatile midfielder made 169 appearances and netted 46 goals during his six-season stay at Philips Stadion before joining La Liga giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, at the start of the 2005/06 campaign.
