PSV Eindhoven trounce Lille to advance to the last 16 round – UEFA Europa League match update
PSV Eindhoven beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lille-OSC-c39800 3-1 in the second leg of the last 32 round of UEFA Europa League at Philips Stadion on Thursday evening. The first leg between the two sides ended in a 2-2 draw, which meant that PSV progressed to the next round on an aggregate
score of 5-3.
Fred Rutten made one change to his starting line-up that drew 2-2 in the first leg. Francisco Rodriguez was replaced by Antonio Marcelo in the heart of PSV defence. On the other hand, Rudi Garcia made major changes from the last weekend’s first leg tie.
Tulio de Melo started upfront in a 4-5-1 formation for the visitors.

PSV started the second half in an attacking fashion, as they looked to find an equaliser. They finally managed to break the deadlock in the 53rd minute, when Balazs Dzsudzsak scored a goal from a free kick just outside the penalty area, to make
it 1-1. Moments later, PSV managed to take the lead in the 66th minute. Marcus Berg played a wonderful pass to Jermaine Lens, who fired in a goal from close range to make it 2-1 for the hosts. The hosts were oozing with confidence and looked like
a completely different side in the second half. PSV scored their third of the evening after five minutes; Marcelo planted a header into the goal from Dzsudzsak’s in swinging delivery from the right. The visitors looked down and out, as they were shattered
by some remarkable football from the hosts. In the end, PSV cruised to what looked like a comfortable win and advanced to the last 16 round.
