PSV Eindhoven’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Erik-Pieters-c12766 has performed impressively throughout the season and his good performances have not gone unnoticed. A host of English Premier League outfits are reportedly taking keen interest in taking his signature in the summer transfer market.
The 22-year-old has welcomed the interest and has claimed that he is ready to take the next step in his career.
The promising young central defender arrived at Philips Stadion in 2008/09 season and has developed into a key player for the Boeren since then. He has played 75 matches and has strengthened the Boeren’s back-line.
The youngster recently penned down a new contract with PSV that will keep him at Philips Stadion until the summer of 2014.
PSV had an excellent chance to finish second in the league table on the final day of the season but failed to bag all three points against FC Groningen. Consequently, they finished third in the league table, missing out on UEFA Champions League qualifying

Pieters said, “From England, there was interest. I have to wait and see what comes my way. I have grown over the past years. I think I could step in now.”
The Dutch International admits that he is desperate to play in the Europe’s most prestigious club competition and believes that the competition demands extra effort.
“I yearn greatly for the Champions League. This tournament offers a little extra club. It brings you closer to the level of the Dutch (national) team”, Pieters concluded.
It seems like that the 22-year-old could be on his way out of the Boeren in the upcoming summer transfer window. PSV management would be looking to hold on to their prized asset, but reports suggest that an offer in the region of 7 million Euros could be
enough for the Boeren to let go off their starlet.
