PSV Eindhoven’s Fred Rutten convinced to lift the title – Eredivisie news
Fred Rutten, PSV Eindhoven's manager, is convinced that his side can lift the Eredivisie title. After the 2-2 draw against the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 have made things unnecessarily difficult in the race for the title. However, the 48-year-old tactician is
confident that his side can emerge as the Dutch champions at the end of the season.
Rutten said, “I am convinced that PSV can become Dutch Champion. I say it on the base of how this team would fight until the end.”
The Boeren are currently placed second in the league table, trailing the league leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede, by merely two points. With 12 points left to play for in the season, the Boeren have a good chance of lifting their 22nd Eredivisie title.
Rutten’s troops are also competing in the UEFA Europa League. However, their European dream have been shattered by the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SL-Benfica-c40542, as they were hammered 4-1 by the Portuguese outfit in the first leg of the quarter-final. Their chances to progress through
to the semi-finals of the Europe’s secondary club competition are far-fetched, as they have to overturn a deficit of three goals in the return leg at the Philips Stadion on Thursday, 14 April. However, Rutten has demanded his troops to focus on Eredivisie.
Rutten is aware that the players are being increasingly jaded and said, “This is a period that is both mentally and physically very demanding for everyone. Any more player injuries and we have a serious problem.”
The Boeren have yet to play against the SC http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Groningen-c39119 in their remaining Eredivisie encounters. Rutten knows the importance of all these fixtures, as lost points in any of these match
will certainly endanger their chances of becoming the Dutch champions.

Nonetheless, the Boeren have to secure maximum points if they have any ambition to lift the Eredivisie
title at the end of the season.
