The highly-rated youngster impressed many after making his first-team debut earlier this term and owing to his performances, the club awarded him a contract extension.
Reports from Eindhoven confirm that Jurgen Locadia has penned down an extension to his ongoing contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven.
Although the youngster has seen limited time on the pitch, the club manangement is convinced with his skillset. His first contract ran out earlier this month, but the club successfully managed to tie him down at Philips Stadion until the end of the 2013/14
campaign.
The young striker graduated from the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Willem-II-c40945 Tilburg’s youth academy, but in pursuit of a prosperous career, he opted to join the Eindhoven giants in the summer of 2010.
The 18-year-old made his official debut for the Boeren in the KNVB beker Cup clash against VVSB in September, staging a scintillating show, even managing to find the back of the net as well.
Locadia expressed utter joy after signing an extension to his ongoing contract and revealed that he will do his utmost to perform at his best for PSV.
“I am very pleased with this extension, but I will continue to try and prove my worth for the team. I know that I still have a long way to go”, the youngster was quoted as saying to the PSV’s official website.
The 18-year-old then went on to admit that he has to develop his skills further and asserted that his next goal is to feature regularly for the Eindhoven giants.
“My next goal is to step into the first-team”, Locadia concluded.
Although the 18-year-old aims to be a regular part of the Eindhoven giants' playing XI, it seems unlikely owing to intense competition. However, should he develop his skills at the earliest and manage to impress his coach, he could well make his way into
the squad.
Having represented the Oranje at Under-19 level, the youngster is regarded as one of the most impressive youngsters around.
Reports indicate that the young striker’s new contract gives the Eindhoven giants an option to extend his deal until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
