http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven’s Ola Toivonen has strongly demanded from his club management to bring reinforcements in the ongoing summer transfer market, to enhance their chances of winning silverware in the upcoming 2011/12 season.
The 25-year-old arrived at Philips Stadion in the summer of 2009 and has performed impressively in the Boeren’s attacking third. The Swedish International has become an integral part of the PSV playing eleven and has netted 34 goals from 75 appearances that
he has made so far.
The midfield ace has remained linked with a host of European clubs including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, Arsenal, Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur, but the 25-year-old has so far denied making a move away from Philips Stadion.
The Swedish International admitted that his side has strengthened the midfield by signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Georginio-Wijnaldum-c14629. However, he believes that the Boeren must lure an out-and-out striker and a defender to harbour any chances
of winning silverware by the end of the 2011/12 campaign.
“PSV need to sign a forward and a defender before the new season commences then there is a chance of winning the title”, Toivonen was quoted as saying to the media.

PSV could use Toivonen or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jeremain-Lens-c18323 as their front-man in the new season, but the need of an imposing centre-forward, who can be relied upon to hit back of the net, remains a concern for the Boeren.
On the other hand, Manolev is the only right-back in the PSV’s current squad and if he is sidelined due to an injury; the Eindhoven giants are left without a suitable replacement.
Should PSV manage to fill these two positions for the upcoming campaign, their chances of winning the Eredivisie title would brighten significantly.
