The central midfielder arrived in Eindhoven in the summer of 2009 after making 25 appearances for Bundesliga outfit, Schalke 04. Since then, the veteran midfielder has played 58 games and scored four goals as well, while providing plenty of assists.
The PSV management has been looking to offload the 31-year-old since the 2010/11 campaign concluded, as the midfielder’s high wages press hard on the Boeren’s limited salary budget. However, the club management is still waiting for the right offer to come
in as none of the interested clubs have tabled a bid thus far.
Turkish Super Lig outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bursaspor-c38700, are the only club to have shown interest in signing the midfielder in the ongoing summer transfer market, with some reports even suggesting that a deal would be finalised in the coming weeks.
The central midfielder’s current contract with PSV runs until the summer of 2013. However, his contract has a clause that allows the midfielder to leave Philips Stadion for 6 million Euros.

giants in the coming weeks.
With the 31-year-old eager to move away from Philips Stadion, coupled with the Boeren’s desire to offload the midfielder before the 2011/12 campaign commences, the midfielder looks set to peruse his career elsewhere in the upcoming term.
