PSV Eindhoven’s Zakaria Labyad optimistic for his side’s chances in Europa League
PSV Eindhoven young striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SL-Benfica-c40542. The first leg of the quarter-final was held on Thursday,
7 April, at Benfica's Luz stadium in Lisbon.
The Boeren’s Europa League dreams were shattered last week, when an impressive Portuguese Liga outfit hammered them. However, the 18-year-old striker remains confident that his side has a good chance to keep their European hope alive this season.
Labyad said, “We can win 4-0 at home. They played better in front of their home crowd, but we are also a strong team at home.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 have lost only twice in every competition while playing in front of their home crowd in the ongoing season. They have a goal difference of 33 goals in 16 matches while playing at the Philips Stadion in Eredivisie, which is exceptional.
The 18-year-old striker is confident that his side can overturn three goals deficit because the Boeren have managed to win matches in front of their home crowd with more than three goals difference. However, the Eredivisie power-house have to perform at
their level best on the pitch if they have any ambition to keep their Europa League hopes alive this season.
Fred Rutten, the PSV manager, is thinking otherwise. Rutten believes that his side’s European campaign has almost ended after their heavy loss in the first leg. He admits that his side has a very small chance to progress through to the next round. However,
Rutten’s troops have to perform exceptionally well on the pitch to achieve the miracle.
The Boeren performance was also below par in their league encounter against the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Heerenveen-c40463 on Sunday, as the match between the two sides ended in a 2-2 stalemate. After their disappointing performance against the Heerenveen outfit, there is very little
hope for the Boeren to defeat the Portuguese Liga outfit in the return leg at the Philips Stadion on Thursday, 14 April.
It would be interesting to see if Labyad's optimism vests faith in Eindhoven with a hope to make it through the Europa League.
