“It’s been a good workout for our players. We wanted to do better than last week when we scored five goals. Tonight, we even bagged nine goals, which is a nice bonus for the fans, but that is all there is to it”, Advocaat was quoted as saying to the club’s

The Dutch trainer went on to admit that his side put in a commanding performance in front of their home crowd, as they found the back of the net nine times until the full time whistle.
Mathias Jorgensen broke the deadlock in the fifth minute, while Peter van Ooijen doubled his side’s advantage seven minutes later. Tim Matavz made it 3-0 in the 15th minute, while the Slovenian ace netted his second of the evening three minutes
before the half-hour mark.
After the half-time break, the Eindhoven giants continued to dominate proceedings. Matavz completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute. Three minutes later, Wijnaldum scored his second of the evening to make the score-line 7-0.
Van Ooijen added his name to the score-sheet yet again in the 74th minute, while a Wijnaldum strike sealed the 9-0 rout seven minutes before the full time whistle.
“We put in a commanding display in our 9-0 victory. We have a twenty-man squad and we need all players this season to make our ambition to be crowned champions come true”, Advocaat concluded.
