The Eindhoven giants will resume the Eredivisie action after a two weeks lay off due to international break, when they take on the Tilburg-based outfit at Philips Stadion on Saturday, October 20.
And the veteran Dutch tactician has expressed his satisfaction over his troops’ fitness, as several of his side’s first-team players were coming after representing their respective countries.
“I was happy they looked good and looked sharp in training this morning”, Advocaat was quoted as saying to the media during the pre-match press conference.
The Boeren have not tasted defeat in front of their home crowd since their 2-6 defeat at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 on March 4, and the 65-year-old tactician has insisted that his side will try to keep their good form at home intact.
“We will look to continue our winning streak at home this weekend. The players put in fine displays with the national team but actually I am more curious how they will perform against Willem II”, Advocaat added.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach boss went on to insist that his side is not going to underestimate the Tricolores, and urged his troops not to give anything away throughout the 90 minutes.
“We must focus on the game, play our passing game and close down Willem II. We must make it clear to our opponents from the first whistle that there will be nothing in it for them tomorrow night”, Advocaat concluded.
