The veteran Dutch tactician has admitted that his troops fully deserved to claim all three points after putting up an impressive show, but has insisted that they could have scored more goals.

“We were fully in control of the game and deserved to win”, Advocaat was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach boss admitted that his troops staged a solid show in the opening half, and they continued to perform brightly until the full time whistle.

The Dutch trainer went on to reveal that RKC performed brilliantly to claim a 3-1 win in the reerse fixture earlier this season, but insisted that the Waalwijk outfit’s performance at Philips Stadion was below par.
“We then suffered a 3-1 defeat, but I was not impressed by RKC´s performance on Saturday”, Advocaat concluded.
