The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Utrecht-c39237 midfielder's agent Chiel Dekker has revealed that the Eindhoven giants will consider letting go of their prized asset in the upcoming winter transfer market, if a good offer comes in.
PSV Eindhoven midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Strootman-c20775, could be moving away from Philips Stadion in the upcoming winter transfer window following interest from several top European clubs.
The 22-year-old, who only joined the Eindhoven giants in the summer of 2011 after making 14 appearances for FC Utrecht, has been staging scintillating shows for the Dutch giants.
His impressive showings have garnered him interest from a host of elite European clubs including the likes of AC Milan, Manchester United and Zenit St Petersburg, with Milan and United reportedly been keeping tabs on the youngster
for over a year now.
The Serie A giants are keen to add young blood to their squad in order to restore their status as a force to be reckoned in Europe in the coming years, and have reportedly set their sights on Strootman.
United boss, Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson, has been keen to add more depth in his side's midfield, and has earmarked the versatile Dutch player as a perfect addition.
Meanwhile, Zenit have been in search of an impressive deep lying playmaker, and have set their sights on the 22-year-old.
And the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 will allow his client to leave the club if any interested club come asking for his signature in the upcoming January transfer window.
“Strootman has had a good time in Eindhoven, but we decided that he wants to prove himself in a better league. If an agreement is able to be reached with a potentially interested club, PSV will allow Kevin to leave in January”,
Dekker was quoted as saying to Russian newspaper Izvestia.
The highly talented midfield maestro, who is widely regarded as the readymade replacement of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-van-Bommel-c24148, has thus far made close to 50 appearances for the Eindhoven giants.
The Dutchman has an ongoing contract at Philips Stadion that runs until the summer of 2016. However, following severe interest from Milan, Zenit and United, it seems unlikely that the 22-year-old would be wearing the Boeren colours
after January.
