The 21-year-old has prolonged his stay at Philips Stadion by signing a two-year contract extension, and has expressed his delight at the completion of the deal.
Reports from Philips Stadion confirm that Abel Tamata has put pen-to-paper on a deal that will keep him at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven for another two years. The 21-year-old’s contract was due to expire at the end of the ongoing campaign, but
his new deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.
The talented stopper, who was recently sent out to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roda-JC-c40375 Kerkrade on a season-long loan deal to gain regular first-team experience, has thus far made five appearances for De Koempels.
The youngster was extremely delighted after putting pen to a new contract, and expressed his ambition for the ongoing season.
“When I was sent out on loan to Roda JC, we had agreed to extend the contract. I am glad the deal has been completed now. Last season I was out with a broken leg. I want to play as many matches as possible this season, become a
better player and prove my worth representing PSV”, Tamata was quoted as saying to the official website of PSV.
The Eindhoven giants’ technical director, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-c23507 Brands, was also pleased with the youngster’s decision to prolong his stay at Philips Stadion, and revealed that his side expects the defender to return to Eindhoven at the end of
the ongoing 2012/13 campaign as a stronger player.
“Jetro Willems became a first-team regular when Abel Tamata was out with injury. It’s important he gets plenty of match practises with Roda JC, so that he will return to Eindhoven as a stronger player”, Brands said while talking
to press reporters.
Tamta, who came through the ranks of the PSV’s youth academy, started his professional career at Philips Stadion in the 2010/11 season, but has only thus far made 10 league appearances while wearing the Boeren colours.
The Dutch stopper, who missed all the 2011/12 season action due to a broken leg, would be hoping to represent Roda JC in every fixture this term, and help his side in finishing at a respectable position.
